#109 - It’s Time To Treat Sustainability As An Integral Part Of Your Core Supply Chain Strategy: Here’s Why with Francisco Betti
Francisco Betti is the Head of Advanced Manufacturing & Production at the World Economic Forum. Francisco joined the World Economic Forum in May 2015 and is currently a Member of the Executive Committee. He also heads the platform for Shaping the Future of Advanced Manufacturing and Production. The platform is helping global leaders from business, government, academia, and civil society anticipate the impact of Fourth Industrial Revolution technologies on manufacturing and value chains. Leaders engaged in the Platform set and drive the global manufacturing agenda and incubate new pilots and partnerships to ensure a more productive, sustainable, and inclusive future of production for all. Prior to joining the World Economic Forum, Francisco worked for PricewaterhouseCoopers SA in Geneva, Switzerland, primarily on management consulting assignments for international organisations.
On this week's episode Francisco and Maria discuss:
- Why sustainable supply chains are the future.
- The greatest barriers to making progress in this area.
- How supply chain leaders can marry up their sustainability initiatives with their quest for greater reliability and efficiency.
